Affiliate Buzz #246 – Questions & Answers

In this edition of the Affiliate Buzz audio newsletter James Martell, successful publisher, speaker and author talks with wife and co-host Arlene Martell offer up a live Q&A as they answer some of the most common questions around building a website.

Offering so many trainings around the online industry has allowed James and Arlene to really get to know the common challenges and questions that come up along the early phases of building a website. Between their help desk and active chat forum students have been posting their questions for years. Today they a few of the more powerful questions to the Buzz for listeners as well.

Right off the top Arlene shares the question, "How do I establish myself as an expert on my topic?" Anyone starting out will learn right away that building trust means establishing credibility around your topic. But knowing how to get this done can be daunting. James shares powerful tips on what it takes to build your credibility in an honest and reputable manner that will last the life of your business.

Next in line involved understanding how a person can go about promoting articles they have published on other websites when webmasters ask them to do so. It's common for a webmaster who agrees to publish your articles to come back with a request to share your article with friends and family as well as among your social networks. James explains how easy this can be done and why you would want to even when the webmasters don't request it.

Another question that frequently comes across the help desk is knowing when to ask permission for using images. One student expressed a desire to use merchant pictures but didn't know when and how to get that permission. James shares simple tips on determining if getting permission is needed, when NOT to use an image and simple ways to capture and edit the images you do use.
