Join James Martell, author of the Affiliate Marketers Handbook as he touches base with host, Charles Johnston for this edition of the Affiliate Buzz as they talk about developing a solid plan for building a new website that will generate revenue.

James and Charles talk about the holiday season in the Martell household as James shares his relaxing activity of just being home for the holiday season. He enjoyed a nice, calm relaxing holiday as the Martell family just laid back. He hosted a nice party for the Cobra Club as they headed out to his garage to take a peak under the hood of his dream car.

James tells listeners that winter is a good time for affiliate marketers because more people are online shopping and looking for ways to maybe start their own home business online. As Christmas comes to an end things start to get back to a normal flow and more people pass the cold months online.

James discusses with Charles about getting his wife Arlene started in the right direction with her dream of publishing a website about epilepsy. He shares how they brainstormed this broad topic and got down to the basics of truly understanding what Arlene hoped to accomplish. James and Charles discuss that her next task was to determine if the topic offered enough income possibility to pursue. Then he and Arlene headed down to a local pub for brunch to begin brainstorming who her visitors would be in one of James’ favorite places to relax and think.

James talks about the importance of knowing who your visitors are going to be, what you want to give them and making sure you follow the steps as you go. He tells his listeners not to worry at this point how it will all come together, just focus on the task at hand. Arlene decided that her site was for visitors like her and she wanted to focus on her personal experiences to help other moms in the same situation.
