In this edition of the Affiliate Buzz audio newsletter, James Martell, successful publisher, speaker and author talks with host Charles Johnston about the Affiliate Summit in Orlando Florida, creating content through outsourcing or writing on your own and how the Affiliate Marketers Handbook really helps students.
James and Charles discuss the Affiliate Summit at the Orlando Hilton. James shares that he noticed many more families bringing their spouses and children. While the affiliate went to the conference the family went out and enjoyed the Disney World scene. They talk about how several years back when he first got started in the business he had turned one of these affiliate conferences into a 3 week vacation where mid vacation they stopped to attend the conference.
This year James was able to arrive two days early and enjoy another working holiday through exploring the dining and events near by. James shares with listeners that this type of trip is also a tax write-off for the industry and well worth the trip. James shares some valuable tips with listeners that he picked up this year from the Affiliate Summit.
James and Charles bring Bronwyn Bamber on the call and discuss how her business has grown over the past couple of years. Bronwyn shares how she jumped right in with all she had and quickly put up multiple sites and found they were doing nothing. Then she realized she needed to get those backlinks in and found there is a right way to do it. Now her new site will bring her $1,000 this month early on and that she never made that money with the older sites.
Bronwyn shares that she has found such joy in working for herself. She has no employees, no share holders, no strings just the joy and freedom to pick up and really enjoy her life. She woke up this morning looking out at the cold and said to herself, “I don’t have to be here anymore and I put my house on the market and started planning my move.”

James shares with listeners that this is a definite possibility with this type of business.
