In this edition of the Affiliate Buzz audio newsletter, James Martell, successful publisher, speaker and author talks with host Charles Johnston about Google’s PageRank, the PAD technique, how Google’s algorithm works how to handle the discover if your site’s rank is dropped to zero.

Then James announces his plans to take his wife Arlene to Maui for their 20th anniversary and the fun it will be.

James and Charles discuss the couple of sites that James had online right now and how he has recently received a zero page rank from Google. James tells listeners his discover when his sites hit the zero page rank and what steps he took to evaluate each of his sites. He shares that he sat down with other members at his office to really look at what happened so they could keep it from happening again.

James and Charles discuss the PAD technique and explain that this is a process of contacting other webmasters on the internet and distributing professional articles to them. James shares a rule that he has established for the PAD technique to be sure to avoid a triangle that will actually harm your site.

James and Charles talk about a form Google has called the Google Spam Report that shows you all the different things you can do wrong. This form is also used by other webmasters on how to report other websites that are abusing Google’s rules. James tells listeners that you can fill it in and report on another website. He shares that what Google really does these reports is use it to find patterns when adjusting their algorithm over all.

James discusses with Charles what steps he took after discovering his sites dropped in page rank. James shares that the first thing he did was start three new sites on the same topics and started creating brand new content for each. He tells listeners that you need to prepare yourself mentally for this type of situation and know how you will handle it. He shares that in times past after recovering from a crash he learned from it and came out ahead financially and he plans to do it again.
