In this edition of the Affiliate Buzz audio newsletter, James Martell, successful publisher, speaker and author talks with host Charles Johnston about finding a business with a true passive income, the differences between the MLM and affiliate models and step-by-step tips on obtaining backlinks for your website.

James talks with Charles about his excitement of the spring months as he took his Cobra down to have some work done.  She is now back in the garage and ready for some summer touring and he is really looking forward to the next 6 months of Cobra fun.

James and Charles talk about the students that are finding James’ training and how they are looking for the same thing James was when he first got started.  They want a method to produce a true, passive income where they won’t have to go to work every day.  They tell his listeners that affiliate marketing is one way to make money online that is a stable business to have.

Then James discusses with Charles about the differences in the MLM model and that of affiliate marketing.  They share that one negative aspect with MLM is the requirement to recruit other people and then rely on them to earn your money.  He shares that with affiliate marketing you don’t have to worry about recruiting people and still have the great income opportunities.

Finally James and Charles talk about the step-by-step process of obtaining backlinks through the PAD technique.  They share simple tips on which pages to select that you should be linking back to and how to research the keywords you want to be ranking for.  He talks about the need to prioritize your products pages and promote 3 at a time.

James wraps up this session with some tips on how buzz listeners can avoid distraction with all those offers that frequent their inbox.  He tells his listeners that they don’t need all that stuff right now and if they follow the steps in the handbook they will succeed.  He tells his listeners that there is nothing more distracting than the internet coupled with your inbox.  Put all that aside and focus in on the baby steps in the manual, you’ll be glad you did.
