In this edition of the Affiliate Buzz, host and Instructor of the Affiliate Marketers BootCamp, James Martell and co-host Arlene explain how you can make an extra $500 a month or $1000 a Month with their 2016 PreBuilt Sites Package.
Have you struggled to get your first affiliate sale to take off? Maybe you’re not happy with the results. This episode teaches the benefits of using a prebuilt site, which may be right for you.
James and Arlene open the episode sharing an experience where a family member sent them a memory from their early days in the affiliate marketing industry.
Then James and Arlene segue into a review of the events leading to where they are today.
The History of How it All Began
During 2001, James and Arlene worked in an office outside their home. They offered trainings twice a week on how to make money with affiliate programs, which James reminds is a great way to earn passive income.
James explains when the trainings began taking him away from his own business, he and Arlene decided that wasn’t the direction where they wanted to go. This led to James writing the eBook titled Affiliate Marketers Handbook, now known as the Affiliate Marketers BootCamp.
Arlene says with so many people looking online for ways to make a little extra money, the book really took off. James confirms that although the goal of the book was to help others make $500 to $1000 per month, some of their students made several tens of thousands of dollars.
4 Steps to Faster Results with Prebuilt Sites
Next James and Arlene turn to the topic of the benefits of using prebuilt sites. During the podcast, some of the advantages they mention include:
- Using a prebuilt site can help you save a ton of time.
- Outsourcing the building helps you save time by getting your site up faster.
- The faster your site is up, the faster you can promote your affiliate offers.
- The quicker you can promote your affiliate offers, the quicker your site generates revenue.
Finally James adds that when building your site, work with someone who’s been in the industry for a while. They’ll know how to discern to find proven offers which are high in demand.
What Do You Do When You Reach Your Goals?
From there it won’t take long to earn $500 to $1000 per month with prebuilt sites. The offers James and Arlene have for the prebuilt sites for 2016 average $100 commission per referred sale.
James then brings the conversation back to the goal of making $500 per month. You don’t have to start there, but he’s found it’s a good average starting goal.
The strategy James uses is: first you set your goal. When you reach it, set your next goal, which should be slightly higher. Repeat as necessary.
For example, using the prebuilt sites for 2016 with a goal of earning $500 per month means getting 1.25 sales (that offer $100 commission per referred sale) per week. Once you meet that goal, double your sales to 2.5 per week and you should earn $1000 per month.
Local Is Where It’s At in Affiliate Marketing
Then James points out that their current prebuilt sites focus on local because that’s where the market is in a lot of cases. Google and others are focused locally as well.
In the early days, James explains, it was fairly easy to rank highly in Google nationally or even internationally. Today that’s almost impossible. James doesn’t recommend trying to rank for that wide an audience and advises that it’s not necessary when you’re first starting out.
Focusing on the local market is key because so many of them need the services offered by prebuilt site packages. An example James shares is Sawbucks Pub in Surrey, British Columbia, which has tripled its business after applying a few principles from within the affiliate space.
After a short break, James and Arlene return to discuss the following headline from Inc.com: It's 2016, so Why Do Almost Half of Small Businesses Not Have a Website?
When James first heard this stat a few years ago he hoped it would have improved by now. Couple that with the fact that many current websites need an update, if not a complete overhaul, and the market for small business websites is huge.
3 Options for Prebuilt Sites:
- Bluehost - Many businesses need hosting and spend too much money on it. Bluehost pays $90 USD to send you a $6.99/month hosting customer.
- Wix - Wix offers free do-it-yourself website creation. If you get a business owner over to Wix and they pay to put their website online, then Wix pays you $100 commission.
- Web.com - This company builds websites for free but charges business owners who want to keep the site and publish it to the web.
James reassures that the above are just a handful of offers, and more are built into the site.
The Prebuilt Site Package and Local Businesses
The Prebuilt Site Package focuses in on local small business owners who want to bring their businesses online. It’s pretty interesting to watch how this is going to go, James predicts, because local really is an amazing marketplace.
Arlene adds that like the aforementioned article from Inc.com states, you’ll find so many businesses that don’t have a website up yet.
James explains the difference between this package and other prebuilt sites. This one focuses heavily on an absolutely killer opt-in offer: The Local Customer Connection: 11 Incredibly Powerful Ways to Attract New Local Customers from the Internet.
Opt-In Offer and Follow-Up System
This book not only has a great headline, but is designed inside and out with visually appealing graphics that complement the textual content. Prebuilt site owners can give this away to local buisness owners to educate them about eleven strategies to increase their business.
James explains the book is the cornerstone of the whole website. The book:
- boosts your credibility because it lists your name as the prebuilt site owner.
- is full of your affiliate offers, which are conversationally written into the book in an informational, non-pitchy sort of way.
- contains clickable links which, if typed directly, still ensure your commission.
When small businesses subscribe to get the book, it triggers a professionally written, 15 email follow-up series. The series aims to get local business owners interested in what you have to say. It keeps the offers in the book in front of them over time through the system.
Prebuilt Sites - What You Get
James continues describing the website which is built in WordPress. The theme is mobile friendly and customizable to you. It also offers 12 amazing blog posts that also help support your message, brand, and offers.
The website comes with full social media integration so the brand, look, and feel of the website is carried through to major social media networks. It also has a daily action plan so you know what you’re doing day-by-day.
The price for the 2016 Prebuilt Sites Package is $3,000 which includes a full turnkey package including training, customized website, professional opt-in offer, and more. (A $2,000 deposit is required with the $1,000 balance due on completion.)
Even if you never go beyond the initial goal of $500 per month, your investment pays for itself in your first six successful months of meeting that goal.
