In this edition of the Affiliate Buzz audio newsletter, James Martell, successful publisher, speaker and author talks with host Charles Johnston about the advantages of working from home, the principles of affiliate marketing, the popularity of online shopping and what that means for affiliates.

James and Charles discuss how normal people with no internet background can start working from home. James has been doing it for so long now that he sometimes takes it for granted, sleeping in til 10am then heading over to a coffee shop with free internet access with his laptop.

James and Charles talk about his upcoming plans to head up to Whistler and stay for a week or two in a nice little house. The kids can take off on the bike trails and James can still prepare for the fall with his laptop. James shares with listeners that when he was running his construction business this would never have been a possibility because of the need to be at work each day.

James and Charles bring some very special guests onto the call to share some of the joys of working from home. The Martell family join the call and discuss what the lifestyle is like. Arlene shares that she is one of the only parents able to attend all the field trips at the kids schools and is able to participate with her children in these activities.

Then James’ son Adam joins the call and shares all the exciting places the family is able to go to with the money his dad earns online.

James and Charles bring in the Martell’s oldest son Justin who is a recent graduate from high school and shares with listeners his view on what his dad does for a living and how he earns money. Justin shares that he has been helping his dad online by researching potential websites to approach for PAD articles.

James discusses with Charles what the basic principle of affiliate marketing. They discuss exactly what it boils down to and what is involved with this method of online marketing. He shares with listeners that it is about shopping online and he has recently done some research to see where the industry is at and shares some of those results.
