I'd like to share a bit of my personal story...
Years ago I worked as a carpenter. I worked hard but never seemed to be able to make ends meet for my family. My wife, Arlene, also a hard worker, stayed at home to care for our special needs son and the rest of our growing family.
I started a general contracting business in the mid 80’s. After much struggle, the company failed. We managed to pull ourselves back from the brink of bankruptcy, but only by giving up a home.
Having been blessed with the entrepreneurial spirit and a strong desire to create a better life, I went on to start a small telecom company. This was in the early 90's. By the end of the 90’s, profits were drying up. Then one fortunate day in 1999, a friend wandered into my home office and introduced me to the world of affiliate programs.
We never looked back.

Not familiar with Affiliate Programs?
For those of you new to affiliate marketing, an affiliate program is simply a relationship between two website owners: the merchant (also known as an “advertiser”) who sells a product or service and the affiliate (also known as the “publisher”) who publishes content.
Back then not so many big companies were involved. Through an embarrassing amount of trial and error, I finally developed a winning process, a process that still works today, 10 years later, a process that allowed Arlene and I to far surpass our initial and rather humble goal of making $200 a day.
Today my family and I enjoy a home in a seaside community south of Vancouver, B.C.
We enjoy several vacations a year, many with our four children. We set our schedules, enjoy our work, and my dream car, a 1965 Shelby Cobra replica is sitting in my garage.
And there is a real good chance I can teach you how to do the same if you're coachable and feel the need to reinvent the wheel.

James, Great interviews. I so enjoy your interviewing style. 1. You ask a question, then let the interviewee answer without interruption. Perhaps interjecting only to clarify a point. 2. You don't put words into the mouth of the interviewee. 3. You don't repeat what the interviewee just said. 4. You don't assume aloud what the interviewee is about to share, thereby requiring said interviewee to correct you. I'm really excited about this series and look forward to more.
