Coffee Talk Interview #45 – Is Your Website or Sales Campaign Failing to Convert Like it Should? Learn to Get the Numbers you Want By Getting Inside Your Customers’ Minds with Psychotactics’ Sean D’Souza

Coffee Talk with Sean D’Souza of Psychotactics

How does the consumer mind really work?  As it turns out, just like yours does.

Sit down and listen in as James Martell, author of the Affiliate Marketers Handbook, President of Net Guides Publishing Inc., and creator of the Affiliate Marketers SUPER BootCamp chats with Sean D’Souza of Psychotactics and reveals:

  • Sean’s Seven Red Bags model of selling (a method that has been proven more effective than traditional “hype” selling)
  • Why customers buy—and why they don’t
  • How to speak the same “brain language” as your target audience.

Sean, now a successful author, noted speaker, and owner of Psychotactics.com was once a failed copywriter and turned to cartooning to make ends meet.  However, shortly after moving to New Zealand from India, Sean dipped back into the world of sales and advertising.  At first, it was only an effort to promote his cartoons.  However, he became excited by what he learned and dug deeper.  After exhaustive research and extensive testing Sean discovered what he had been doing wrong as a copywriter all those years ago (chances are you’re doing it too!)

Sean built Psychotactics.com on the key phrase “persuasion is stupid,” and set about trying to discover what makes average people buy (and what makes them not buy.)  He found that removing unnecessary pressure adds greatly to the salesman’s success and also came up with an analogy which uses a set of matched luggage–seven bags in all–as a metaphor for the seven essential elements of any successful sale:

  • Problem
  • Trigger
  • Target Profile
  • Objection
  • Testimonials
  • Risk reversal
  • Uniqueness

Without having all seven elements in line (which you probably don’t,) you cannot guarantee the conversion of prospects!  With them, Sean explains that the prospect very nearly has no choice but to buy because of the way their brain works.

Sean teaches this method in seminars, and gives keynote speeches at gatherings all over the world.  In fact, James met Sean while both of them were speaking at the Systems Seminar and he immediately recognized the amazingly simple yet profound truth in Sean’s analogy.  Now he’s bringing Sean to you so you can see it too.

Have you ever had trouble keeping your audience’s attention during a presentation?  James was so pleasantly surprised by the skill and techniques Sean used to present his ideas that he asks Sean to share a few of his tips on how to give killer presentations that will have your audience eating out of the palm of your hand.  They’re tips you can use during video presentations, slide shows, and live interactions to increase the value you bring to your audience and the brand recognition they bring to you.

Are you an affiliate market looking to boost conversions?  Maybe you’re an advertiser trying to keep your audience’s attention?  Maybe you’re a public speaker and want to learn that near fool-proof method for getting your targeted audience to buy the message you’re sending.  Whatever the case, you’ll surely regret missing this edition of Coffee Talk with James Martell.
