Bon Voyage – Why Not Celebrate a 50th Birthday with a Cruise On the High Seas?

That’s what my sister-in-law asked me while back. You see my brother Steve is turning 50! Birthdays are always fun but they’re even better when you get to celebrate by travelling – and what could be more exciting than a cruise? My sister-in-law booked 4 nights on a Princess Cruise Ship (with 2 nights in Vegas before hand) to celebrate my brother’s big day so how could I help but be onboard from the beginning?

I don’t get to see my family as much as I’d like. I live hundreds of miles away from everybody else, my siblings and parents are getting older, and everyone is busy with their own lives so when an opportunity comes up for the family to get together it’s easy to say yes!

We leave in May for a two night/three day stay in Las Vegas and then head to Los Angeles where we hop aboard a modern luxury liner and head back up the Pacific coast to Victoria for a day and finally end up in Vancouver.

I consider myself privileged to be able to do this. Unlike many folks, my career allows me to travel a lot – that’s one of the many perks of being an affiliate marketer. It’s possible because I can still stay connected to my business wherever I go as long as I can find a Wi-Fi connection or an internet café. It is truly wonderful to have a business that is, in a sense, portable! I can easily check my emails, make any needed changes my sites, keep in touch with my outsourced service providers from just about anywhere.

I can even stay connected in the middle of the ocean! Modern cruise ships come fully equipped with amazing Internet centers and use high-tech satellite technology to keep their guests “wired” without the wires. There’s usually a fee to use the Internet but, because I have cruised with Princess before, I get complimentary access. It’s nice to be remembered (a tip you can use in your own affiliate business.)

Even though I’ve cruised before, there’s so much to do and see that before we leave I am getting prepared! Our SUPER BootCamp members Barry and Kimala are regular cruisers and have developed a site (CruiseDork.com) designed to show you how to get the most out of your cruise. Barry recently published his first podcast which offered some invaluable tips that I would never have thought of myself.

In fact, after listening to the podcast, I was so impressed by the information presented that I immediately bought David’s eBook. I am glad I did too – the info I got will save me lots of money!

Here’s just a quick overview of some of the eBook Highlights

  • 3 Ways to get VIP treatment
  • 2 ways to cruise – for free!
  • How to save a ton of money on shore excursions

James and I plan on taking many more cruises in the future but couldn’t if we had “traditional” jobs. I love that we can access our business from anywhere and with so many Wi-Fi hotspots and Internet Cafes popping up, there’s just no excuse to stay home. We are completely free to jump on these once in a lifetime opportunities to get away.

Wow, what a idea! I think it could be a really exciting trip. Thanks for the inspiration.

  2. Wonderful products and outstanding products and services are available at a cost. For a lot of hunting constantly for a good deal it may seem big-headed and unneeded. A great deal more than often however the cheap items turn out to be a lot more expensive at the end. Moreover, where is the fun in it without having the best?
